Engineering Manager based on the South Coast of England working for a Dynamic Manufacturer, Distributor & Turnkey Specialist. Basic salary Circa £43K

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for all customer support & engineering within a small but diverse & successful engineering team. Other responsibilities include supporting the sales team, developing solution proposals and creating bespoke motorised solutions within Precision Motion Control, in what is a hands-on, people-managing engineering role.

• Products/systems: Servo (housed & frameless), Stepper & Piezo Motor Technology, Controllers And Driver Electronics, Zero Backlash And Planetary Gear-Heads, Linear & Rotary Bearings, Profile Rails, Brakes And Clutches, Linear & Rotary Encoders, Ultra High Precision Stages, Industrial Linear Actuators, Ball Screw and Lead Screws.  
• Key Markets dealt with: Defence, Medical, Semiconductor, Metrology, Research and Industrial Manufacturing.

As the Engineering Manager you will have a good technical grounding as well as strong engineering experience within Motion Control. You will have the presence and professionalism to bolster the Company's continuing expansion plans as both a people-manager & in a client-facing support function. It is a preference that you are technically qualified to degree level, however experience goes a long way with our client. You will be experienced in the management of multiple tasks and will lead from the front in what is very much a hands-on engineering role.

Key attributes & skills:

• Mechatronics knowledge
• Experience in Design, Manufacture, Assembly & Commissioning of Motion Control solutions
• PLC (& other) Motion Controller experience
• Solidworks experience (2012 a preference)
• FEA experience (Thermal & Mechanical)
• Motion & Mechanical Component selection skills
• Project Experience
• People Management skills
